Gampaha district is considered the most popular district for living and records highest population growth rate. It has many advantages such as good weather conditions, good water, good education, and good infrastructure facilities. Furthermore its close proximity to Colombo, location of international airport and countrys largest and foremost two export processing zones, together with many other industrials towns, have contributed to this demand.
